its been a min since i already got a chance to talk to yall...especially since people always seen to read my blog and take things the wrong way and want to fight me 0_0 ...anyway...i've been good...still on lockdown due to constant earthquakes and what not (even tho my shop is the last one to be working crazy hours)...i can't wait for all this to be over...i missed the Supreme Japanese relief tee dropping -_- i was so hurt ...hypebeast was out there and everything *sigh* none the less im still trying to get focused on dropping this album and what not...which is coming along nicely...im going to release an ep when the site drops, and the IMRAW video comes out (all in July) ...it will be dope but my album will be BETTER! but i gotta give people something to curve appetites ...all the songs will be produced by me...might have 2 features but it will only be 4-6 songs of unreleased dope Tokyo living material ...i could care less how people are gonna take it...its how i feel...im living the good life...i want to share that with yall...in the meantime i will look for somebody to shoot the first video off of the album...still seeming like the album will drop the top of 2012...please stay tuned for more...im trying to get some shows at here but of course im met with certain obstacles (wack rappers, promoters, producers who all hate hard) but i know i will overcome and make this dream a reality

so here i am...in Tokyo...but due to the disaster up north i can't go any where...which sucks...and usually on my day off i work on music all day...but today i decided my brain could use a rest...not just from work but also from music...tho i love it to death there comes a point where one has to take time to find new music...new methods...plan goals...all that...just a few days (or one day in my case) to reflect on what you have accomplished ...so that i did today...felt good...the album is coming along awesome...im surprised to what i've made thus ...can't wait for yall to hear it...hopefully soon i can get some shows and spread the gospel which is Champloo across the land of Tokyo ...but as far as the album goes im looking at a certain time frame...i don't wanna say anything until im for sure but i promise you will be surprised...in the mean time the So Proper familia has grown... check out the homie... i mean if Prop signed him he has bout something right? she doing big things too tho...her next project "No Days Off" is dropping and i have more than a few tracks up there or so i have heard...im a little nervous as well as excited...Proper has always had a good ear for production for im 100% sure what she choose will be my best work...not to mention the fact that she wouldn't just put my production on the tape because im fam...if it's wack or not up to par she wouldn't use it...straight up...but hopefully after this i can start getting more work

on to the other news...i haven't been blogging and what not due to stress...usually i use this blog to vent...but in this case i had to fall back and let eric deal with his problems...from dealing with these so called rappers in Japan (all of which are black and don't want to help me get out in Tokyo nor do they want to work but read further) to losing my girl of the past year and dealing with music...with the rappers out here...its not the best situation i mean lets be real no rapper in the military is serious besides myself, Donnis, and Malice so im pretty sure im in good company...but as you can see by said company we all had visions to get out of the military and continue pursuing said dream...now the problem with the average rapper in the military its hard for them to take it serious for the single fact that everything they could get with the rap lifestyle the military provides so what happens is without honing skills (basically sucking) they feel they are rappers already...so...you have sucky rappers with good connections...most have no songs...have never recorded a song...and don't know how to count bars...now you may be thinking well what do they do that they would consider themselves rappers...wait for it...

because thats the same thing as being serious about being a rapper -_-.

enter myself in which case they get intimidated by the fact im so serious and pretty much rap circles around them twice while also having my own style (which is looked down upon by a nigga who sucks at rapping) ...so the connections are being held hostage because niggas don't want to look like frauds...AND don't want to see anybody else get on before them...i call it the Jordan syndrome...everybody wants to be put on first and come back for everybody else like a phucking rap Messiah...i hate these niggas...its hard not to get discouraged...i do feel like my last tape was an awesome piece of work but it seems nobody else does...so as i go working on the album (which sounds amazing already) i find myself wondering what am i doing wrong...im listening to my past works taking time on flows and song arrangements just trying to make it not so much perfect or classic but as much champloo as i can...i just want to be myself on this album...and make these wanna be rappers stop rapping so i and other like me can get the shine we deserve...

Let me start by saying my mother and father have never agreed on anything. Not anytime in my memory. I don't even think the 3 of us have one picture together. But for the first time ever they do agree on one thing. That i should pursue music. Not because i think i can or its my dream but because im talented and it could actually happen. After releasing my last mixtape and seeing how i got little to no response from blogs or anything like that i was a little discouraged. I felt like the tape was good and even spawned a few songs on itunes including "IMRAW" (which will probably be in the club here in Japan for the majority of 2011). I didn't know what else to do. I even considering giving it all up. But then i got two packages in the mail one from my mother and one from my father. Both of which had all the ingredients to make a great MC/producer. If they can agree on this then i feel like i should keep pursuing it. Everything comes in time. I must pray and keep working.

NOW! 2010 has been crazy. I went from thinking i was gonna die in Texas to now literally "kickin up my feet in a loft in Tokyo" ...i never thought i was gonna make it here even tho its been my dream forever. But here i am enjoying it and living it up. One memory that sticks out in my mind. Well its 2. The first right before "ChamplooIsBadForYou" dropped i sent a track to Essay Real. He sent it back in probably a day or so which was dope because i had to send the features off a month early and as usual a few people flaked on me...but he spit a dope verse and sent it back quick...im thinking that was the end of everything...i sent him a few beats as well but then one night i got a phone call i didn't recognize the number and it was him and ms. bonnie ...who wanted to call me personally and say they phucked with me...they liked what i was doing and if i needed anything just call them...i listened to this dude back when myspace was poppin...i remember me and ms proper talking about thats how we needed to be back then and that had to be like late '05 early '06...i dunno it was just coo he didn't have to do any of that but he did... iight the next was in VA which was crazy to say the least (Calvin know what i mean *smfh*) ...just the whole experience... chillin with the rebels my family all that... AND OF COURSE CHARLOTTE! which i plan to move...its too dope...ahhh i miss it...i still love Norfolk tho but its time for a change but uh back to the story...i was in the Trap (Dante Lewis' studio) most of my time in VA because thats where the music was...even lucked around and got Micah Money's tape which was real cool of that dude to let me be apart of that... (and arguably the best song on the tape) but me and Dante was having a convo about were i intended to go next with my music...and i told him...mind you this dude is already making money off music...produced for Curren$y and OuttaSight ...only does music for a living...but then he says...yea thats the route to go...i was like okay...well i must be doing something right if somebody who is already where i wanna be is telling me...you know? but thats what stuck out to me...getting that go ahead from people like yea keep going because phuck its hard out here...but thru it all everybody has been supportive which is all i ask...from my homies Kevin and Dejai (who got my tape to Big Sean) to Dee who always is there to at least point my hard headed ass in the right direction...thanks to everybody... i know 2011 will be bigger as i remake my sound release more music and keep doing what i love

what a holiday to say the least...partying partying partying Tokyo style...even found the time to hand out some mixtapes in the process...my mom even got me the Jay-Z "Decoded" book...which is cool since one of my new years resolutions is to read more...and its dope to say the least...this morning i woke up with a name to my website...which will drop this time next year...and a whole scheme of things... (even tho i need somebody to draw up and design the site and the only person i know who is very talented at it i pissed off doing a twitter rant because i felt like one of her clients bit the art for my mixtape) im sure everything will come together...i already got a few songs but the hardest part is finding producers for this album...im looking for a dope ass soulful yet abstract sound that i can tell everyday stories over...which i am on the way to creating myself but i few other producers would make the process a tad easier but for the most part nobody wants to help...im paying for beats and i can't get anybody to send me a snippet...there are a few producers that would easily fit what im looking for but again they don't see the potential of what im trying to do...one could say how do you expect to build a buzz when you couldn't do it in Texas...now in Texas certain things happened around the time i actually started recording and putting out tapes which put a halt in operations but now im in Tokyo...one of the biggest cities in the world...im too focused to lose..

well...in light of rather good luck the bad comes as well...its all good tho...one thing about me i always at least try to see the silver lining in any cloud...from people stuntin and frontin on me...to looking like a dumbass at work...i keep looking forward...and hoping for the best...one reason tho is because the holidays are upon me once again...and even when you are away from home no matter how dope the place might be you miss home...its human nature...this is truly my first christmas away from family...even in TX i had my uncle and cousins...but in Japan...i don't have anyone (that i know of)...its all good tho...im sure my family will have a dope christmas provided i played santa clause this year which makes me feel awesome...now back to the stuntin and frontin...people out here are a new breed...well not really but still it sucks...musically everybody thinks they have what will get them on and poppin...most can't even put a song together...or count bars (which is fairly easy)...and refuse to get shown up by a black dude who uses words like awesome lol...even tho i make up mixtapes and hand em out every chance i get i can't help but get the feeling that i can't do this alone...i need some sort of support system...but im pretty sure if i can make fans in bubbaphuck tx i can't make some in Japan...but then again i've only been here for a month and have made a few connects that i know will come in handy...espically this female producer i met who replays any sample i give her *smfh* ...lets just say my beats will improve 30 fold...but for now i just gotta keep my eyes on the prize (sorry my peoples got me a book of cliches this year)

by now if you've been following this blog you should know what i means when the blogs slow up...well in this case its a lil different since its an album and not a mixtape...but either way the music is in full swing...im feeling real good about it as well...considering the fact for the last 2 mixtapes i sat there and reached out to producers/artists alike and for the most part got shitted on...i mean some of them were coo and will be featured on the album but when you got a dope tape and even tho they were featured on said tape they can't promo for you? they won't even listen? im done with the VA hip hop scene...some of them think they are on already and act like it...im just over it...i have a list of people i want on my album if they don't make it oh well...they're loss...im going to what made "Thats Awesome" so well...awesome...just keeping to myself and doing what i want...not trying to get so many features...on either the artist or production side...before i was scared of producing a whole project...but at this point i feel like i could...i even go as far as to say im sure i could mix/master it as well...even tho i will prolly let Dante Lewis handle those duties...this album will fall into place...i know it...in the mean time i will enjoy kicking my feet up in a loft in Tokyo...everybody keeps saying i've changed since i touched down here...i mean reallly...how would you feel if you actually reached your dream?

so Japan is dope as hell...i had to get that outta the way...i have a bunch of videos up of just random stuff out here...but people are killing me...like...you don't have to rub it in...we know you're in Tokyo and shit...but yo...if you know me i've dreamed of coming out here since well...forever...my rap name is Champloo for crying out loud...regardless...to actually attain something like this is crazy...i never thought i'd see this moment and thats real...and now to hold it is unreal...i did a 3 mile run today...(even tho i almost died) when i finished i had Mt. Fuji in the background...nothing can even come close to that feeling of accomplishment...good luck fortune and God brought me to this point...

im working on this album...throwing a few ideas around but for once...taking my time...i swear the first tape i did took me a year to get all the songs and such together...well not a year more like 6 months...and i think it was only 9 songs...but they were 9 songs that i felt from my heart...and i need that feeling for this album...not just a bunch of club songs...just stuff that everybody can relate to and feel...i mean 3 mixtapes is coo but one classic album would be even better.
